Giant isopod

Today I went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA. To my delight, they had a giant marine isopod on display! I don't remember it being there last time I visited. In the picture below, it's standing on a crab (lol)


This was a relatively small specimen, under 12". Apparently they can get much larger than that! They are very strange creatures indeed, which is undoubtedly why I've taken an interest in them.
